Our Upstream Commitments
The Florette group's strategy is one of proximity with the upstream, as demonstrated by our exceptional relations with our producers. This strategy is translated into contractualisations enabling a “win-win” partnership.
On the one hand, the Florette Group has a commitment to its suppliers.
We implement our expertise, resources, and methods to optimize the workflow throughout the chain. Moreover, we harness our core business expertise to serve our suppliers by offering them technical support through our team of agricultural engineers.
On the other hand, our suppliers have commitments in terms of:
- Environment
- Food safety
- Product quality
- Service
Our suppliers use farming methods that respect both the product and the environment (for example using fertilizers and pesticides on an “as necessary” basis) in a Global GAP type approach that aims to control waste and residues.
Our suppliers are also following ethic rules using the SEDEX approach.
- input location control,
- field selection,
- respect of the cold chain,
- application of HACCP systems,
- respect of time limits,
- traceability,
- checks for nitrates and pesticide residues,
- absence of GMO ingredients and allergens,
- hygiene rule.
Performance monitoring
Each supplier is monitored and assessments of quality, quantity, handling and delivery times are prepared for each production period. In the same way Florette monitors its own performance concerning its commitments to suppliers.
